NMMA Members Named to 2026 DAME Design Awards Shortlist
The 2026 DAME Design Awards shortlist includes products from 20 NMMA member companies. Winners will be announced Nov. 17 during Metstrade’s opening in Amsterdam. The 35th edition of the awards drew a record 153 entries from 30 countries.
An 11-member international jury reviewed submissions online for three weeks before evaluating the products over two days at RAI Amsterdam. The jury selected 74 nominees, the most in 23 years.
Established in 1991, the DAME Awards recognize product design across the marine industry. Judges consider more than appearance, weighing each product’s purpose, ease of use and installation, cost, innovation and environmental impact. Sustainability, electrification, automation, artificial intelligence and connected systems stood out among this year’s entries.
The nominated products reflect that range, from an induction cooktop and women’s waterproof bib to a hybrid-electric propulsion system and an AI-powered system that creates a live 3D view of a boat’s surroundings.
