NMMA Canada Collaborates with Boating BC and Engages with Local Members

Last week, NMMA Canada took part in a weeklong trip to British Columbia to meet attend the BC Boat show, engage with Boating BC, and connect with various members, as well as strategic regional and provincial partners.

During the visit, NMMA Canada's Patrick Pereira, manager of government relations, had discussions with prominent members, including ComNav, Dometic, Mustang Survival, Barnacle Systems, Shockwave Seats, and Boating BC, across the lower-mainland and Vancouver Island. These interactions conversations served as invaluable opportunities to glean insights into the unique challenges and opportunities faced by the Canadian boating community on the West Coast.

These dialogues are essential for shaping a proactive government relations strategy and advancing the Canadian recreational boating industry. Topics ranged from regulatory issues, the luxury tax, innovations in the marine sector, to market trends in BC. Members shared their viewpoints on navigating government policies, trade dynamics, and industry advancements.

The knowledge acquired from these engagements will be instrumental in guiding NMMA Canada's advocacy strategy ahead, especially in preparation for the upcoming Day on the Hill event scheduled for May 28th.

NMMA Canada is committed to advancing the interests of the recreational boating industry and leveraging the power of collaboration to drive positive change. For questions, please contact Patrick Pereira at [email protected] or visit nmma.ca.
