Last Week's Progressive Insurance Norwalk Boat Show Saw Buyers, Sales

The 2022 Progressive Insurance Norwalk Boat Show, presented by Discover Boating, which ran last weekend, Sept. 22-25, closed out NMMA’s 2022 boat show lineup, attracting nearly 10,000 visitors. While weather impacted boat show attendance throughout the weekend, several exhibitors reported an uptick in sales year over year with many walking away with new prospects.

“While a rainy opening day and strong winds throughout the weekend may have dampened this year’s attendance, we’re pleased to hear from many exhibitors and stakeholders that the Norwalk Boat Show continues to be a sales generator, with many engaging new customers during our four-day run,” said Jon Pritko, NMMA vice president, Northeast shows. “We look forward to building upon the 2022 event and returning next year to Norwalk Cove Marina under the Discover Boating brand to continue fostering business for the Northeast recreational boating industry.”

Interest was high among show attendees eager to get on the water, with nearly 1,000 participating in the variety of on-water experiences and free educational opportunities, from boating lessons and free boat rides along Long Island Sound to the show’s ever-popular Try It Cove for paddle enthusiasts.

Next year’s Discover Boating Norwalk Boat Show is scheduled for Sept. 21-24, 2023.

The NMMA is well underway planning for its full roster of 2023 Discover Boating boat shows. Visit https://discoverboating.com/boat-shows for the calendar; more details to come.
