Two Women in Marine Manufacturing Honored with STEP Ahead Award
NMMA congratulates Kim Shaller, Purchasing Manager, Boston Whaler Boats, and Judith Zelisko, Vice President, Tax, Brunswick Corporation, on receiving the Manufacturing Institute's 2019 STEP Ahead Award. The STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Ahead Awards recognize women in manufacturing who exemplify leadership within their companies. The Manufacturing Institute presented awards to 100 Honorees and 30 Emerging Leaders (women under the age of 30) last week at the 2019 STEP Ahead Awards Gala in Washington, D.C.
During the Gala, the Institute announced a partnership between the STEP Women’s Initiative and Politico’s Women Rule to collaborate on a series of events this year focused on closing the gender gap in manufacturing, and Politico’s Anna Palmer recorded an episode of the Women Rule podcast at the STEP Awards, which will be available next week.
