NMMA Canada Executive Director Elected to Outdoor Caucus Association of Canada Board of Directors

Sara Anghel, executive director for the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Canada, was recently elected to the Outdoor Caucus Association of Canada (OCAC) for a two-year term.

The OCAC serves as a liaison between the federal government and industry, advising the Parliamentary Outdoor Caucus (POC) on issues of importance to the hunting, fishing, trapping and sport shooting communities. The OCAC was formed in 2006 and includes Members of Parliament, as well as Senators from all political parties, to represent Canadians who enjoy outdoor heritage activities.

“Sara will be an outstanding representative for boating, fishing and NMMA Canada on the OCAC,” said Tom MacNair, chairman of the NMMA Canada Board of Directors. “Her appointment will help to ensure the recreational boating industry and outdoor heritage activities continue to work together and demonstrate the important economic role they play in Canada.”

“I look forward to the opportunity to serve on the OCAC and represent the interests of boating and fishing to ensure we’re working together to identify opportunities that grow and protect the outdoors for Canadians to enjoy for generations to come while reinforcing the significant value boating and fishing have on the Canadian economy,” said Anghel.
