Fourth Section of NMMA Statistical Abstract Released – International Exports & Imports

The fourth section of NMMA's 2016 U.S. Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract – International Exports & Imports 1996-2016 – is now available on NMMA.org. Data shows imports of recreational boats and marine engines coming into the U.S. moderated slightly in 2016, down 2.3 percent, after reaching an all-time high the year before. Exports declined by 13.5 percent in 2016, primarily reflecting the strong U.S. dollar which was trading at a 14-year high, making U.S. exports more expensive relative to other currencies.
